The Wings of the Schechinah were originally installed at
Berea Synagogue in 1967. The shul was sold in the 1990s and the Wings put into storage. They have now been restored by Abie Schneider, the man who made them originally under Herman Wald's direction and installed at the Jewish Museum for the duration of the exhibition.
